Dixie found me at the Kiss The Brides Expo at the Verizon Arena here in Little Rock. I am very excited to be doing there wedding photography in September. Dustin and Dixie are wonderful couple, they’re both athletic and enjoy being outside. Dixie explained that their dogs are like their children, so they defiantly wanted them in the photos. I know what some people might say about photographing dogs and children, but I thought it was a great idea. Plus I had help from my good buddy Mark with Roxy Creative. He’s a big help with the photos and will be my second photographer at their wedding. We decided to shoot Dixie and Dustin’s engagements at the Big Dam Bridge on the North Little Rock side. Congrats you guys, I hope you like the photos.

This blog is a little late. I have been so busy these last couple weeks, I have skipped around a little on my blogging. I hope you all will forgive me. I was so glad to meet Katy and Kyle. What a great couple. They were so much fun to photograph. Katy and Kyle are getting married in Rode Island in June next year. For this engagement photo session we meet in Searcy. I was unaware of all the great locations in Searcy for photography. This is a great place to take photos. I have to say that I am a little partial to the grungy look of an older downtown area. I hope you guys like the photos. Congratulations on the engagement.

Today was the anniversary to the signing of the Declaration of Independence of the United Stated of America. Happy Fourth of July America! Happy Birthday America. I went down by the Arkansas River, downtown Little Rock by the River market to watch the fireworks with my best friend tonight. The weather was perfect. Here is the image that I took. It felt like it was a bit shorter show this year than in the past, but it was still good clean fun anyway. I always enjoy watching all the people and kids that get to see some fireworks for the first time. I saw a lot of cameras out, lot of people wanting to get a great shot of the fireworks. So I thought I would share with you guys the setting I had on my camera to give some insight into how to capture great fireworks pictures. I had my camera set on Shutter 1/3, Aperture f/2.8, Exposure Bias -1.00, Focal Length 10.5mm, and ISO 1000.
