Our roadtrip is more than halfway over, WPPI is right around the corner, and I’m fighting for time to blog all the photos. Our first stop on this epic roadtrip was Laguna Beach, California to shoot an e-session. I have so many wonderful things to say about Jason and Marissa. I could go on and on about how they are such great people and that they are just perfect together, but I think I should just let some of the photos speak for me. I had Leslie right beside me taking some pretty awesome photos herself. I’m so glad that we could make the trip to California to take Marissa and Jason’s engagement photos, and I can’t wait until May for their wedding in Temecula! This location is called 1000 steps in Laguna Beach, this was actually the same beach where Jason proposed to Marissa. Enjoy!

This last photo was taken by my wonderful wife. Stay tuned for part two of the engagement session tomorrow. – Eli

I’m super excited about Corey and Kristi’s big day this weekend. This will be the last wedding that I photograph before leaving for my own wedding! Kristi first found me at the bridal fair about a year ago. She wanted to schedule a meeting to talk with me that same day. I have to say, if Kristi was sold on me, it had to be due to the fact that I had Leslie with me helping at the bridal fair, haha. We were sold on her too. I had a really great time with Corey and Kristi, they are both the most laid back, fun couple. Kristi bubbles with excitement to get married. I can wait to shoot their wedding this weekend! Here are a few of my favorites from their engagement shoot, enjoy!

I’m super excited to share these Southern Arkansas swampland engagement portraits. This was probably the most unique engagement session I have shot. Cullen and Krystina were completely natural in this environment though. I think they may have been born in the wrong era, hahaha. It also could have something to do with all the practice taking photos they’ve had. You see Krystina just happens to be an awesome photographer in Benton and I’m sure Cullen has had his picture taken a few times. I had a blast shooting them both! We were probably inches away from Arkansas Alligators making a snack out of us, and we were definitely lunch for those giant mosquitoes but we got some great photos right? I decided to break their e-session up into two parts. Check back later this week for more photos with and outfit change and new location! Krystina & Cullen I can’t wait for your wedding, Enjoy!

Hope it’s not too late for a Tuesdays with Eli blog post…Today was a very busy day for me. Lots of running around and craziness, but it ended on an awesome note. I finally got to shoot an engagement session similar to the “boat scene” in The Notebook. More on that later. Can’t wait to blog those. Well after we survived the alligators in the swamp, we decided to let the sun drop down and take on the deadly Arkansas Mosquitoes. I’m pretty brave when it comes to most environments, but it only took about two minutes in the misquotes for me to say “That’s a wrap!” Here is one shot I got. Those are NOT stars, they’re deadly Arkansas Mosquitos. Enjoy!

Last week I met up with Patrick and Courtney. We were all watching the weather everyday leading up to their engagement portraits. Of course we were looking for the perfect weather, but this is Arkansas. : ) When we began our e-session, the sun was up and there was no chance of rain. It was only slightly overcast. That was all good though, we started knocking out some great portraits right off. Courtney and Patrick were awesome, they were having fun just enjoying each other and I was just snapping away! Towards the end of our session the weather began to change dramatically but that still didn’t stop us, we were having too much fun. I also wanted to make sure we got a couple shots on top of the Junction Bridge in the RiverMarket, this was were Patrick proposed to Courtney. We ran to the top of the bridge, braving the wind, rain, and cold. The photos right at the end turned out to be some of my favorite photos from the day, and I know they’ll be extra special to Courtney & Patrick. Lesson learned… always take that extra effort. : ) Here’s a couple photos from the session! Enjoy!

I’m so excited to show off these engagement photos that we took on Monday. I met up with Justin & Sarah downtown Little Rock near Sticky Fingers, FYI I’m a big fan of their chicken. We had a great time and I promised them I would make it easy on them. Nothing to difficult, just hanging out taking some photos right? Truth is, they made it easy on me. What a great looking couple, and Justin kept us both laughing with all his jokes, haha. Here are just a couple of my favorites! Enjoy!

P.S. Sorry about missing my Tuesdays with Eli blog post this week. I’m going camping this weekend with Leslie and family so I have so stuff to share next Tuesday.
