Fields of San Juan Capistrano Engagements // Chas + Kaitlyn

Open fields of wild flowers surrounded by an old wooden fence and a rust covered shed is not what you would expect in the urban sprawl of Orange County, California, but that’s exactly what we found for Chas and Kaitlyn’s engagement session. Leslie and I have been here in Southern California for over 2 years now and we sometimes miss the rural settings that we photographed on a weekly basis. Don’t get me wrong, we absolutely love Southern California and the beaches of Orange County, but it’s nice to know that there’s a place here that makes us feel like we’re back in the country. We met Chas and Kaitlyn in San Juan Capistrano just off the 5. The day was overcast which gave us nice soft light to shoot in. Chas and Kaitlyn's wedding was in Laguna Hills at Crossline Community Church. They both currently live in San Francisco, but Chas grew up in Orange County so they decided to have their wedding here.
