Rancho Palos Verdes Wedding // Karli + John
If I could choose any wedding to finish our 2014 wedding season off with, it would be Karli and John's wedding in Rancho Palos Verdes. Not only did we have an opportunity to shoot at one of Southern California's premier luxury resorts, but we also got to document the wedding of two of the most genuine, laid back people we've ever photographed. Leslie and I always make it our mission to help our couples feel super comfortable and relieve any possible stress the day of their wedding, but it felt like Karli and John had that same mission for their photographers. Of course, I know that wasn't a mission they had, but that's just the type of people they are. They treated us like family and not like just another wedding vendor.
Karli and John live in Huntington Beach and run a large stage production company together here in Southern California that John started as a small home based business. Their company actually set up all the uplighting for their reception at Terranea Resort. Their ceremony was at the renowned wedding venue, Wayfarers Chapel. It's a small glass chapel with very interesting architecture, it kind of reminded us a little of Anthony Chapel, but happens to be surrounded by a grove of California redwoods and panoramic ocean views. And if your looking for an inspirational place to worship, they actually have service in the chapel every Sunday too. We had a pretty awesome team of vendors that we had the pleasure of working with as well. Elysium Productions shot their wedding film. Elysium is a super talented video company in So Cal and I'm pretty stoked to see John and Karli's film when it's ready. Sharon Gall was the wedding planner and was fantastic to work with. She coordinates tons of large scale resort weddings and was incredibly detailed, super friendly, and truly a necessary component to this wedding.
