Last week I met up with Patrick and Courtney. We were all watching the weather everyday leading up to their engagement portraits. Of course we were looking for the perfect weather, but this is Arkansas. : ) When we began our e-session, the sun was up and there was no chance of rain. It was only slightly overcast. That was all good though, we started knocking out some great portraits right off. Courtney and Patrick were awesome, they were having fun just enjoying each other and I was just snapping away! Towards the end of our session the weather began to change dramatically but that still didn’t stop us, we were having too much fun. I also wanted to make sure we got a couple shots on top of the Junction Bridge in the RiverMarket, this was were Patrick proposed to Courtney. We ran to the top of the bridge, braving the wind, rain, and cold. The photos right at the end turned out to be some of my favorite photos from the day, and I know they’ll be extra special to Courtney & Patrick. Lesson learned… always take that extra effort. : ) Here’s a couple photos from the session! Enjoy!

I’m so excited to show off these engagement photos that we took on Monday. I met up with Justin & Sarah downtown Little Rock near Sticky Fingers, FYI I’m a big fan of their chicken. We had a great time and I promised them I would make it easy on them. Nothing to difficult, just hanging out taking some photos right? Truth is, they made it easy on me. What a great looking couple, and Justin kept us both laughing with all his jokes, haha. Here are just a couple of my favorites! Enjoy!

P.S. Sorry about missing my Tuesdays with Eli blog post this week. I’m going camping this weekend with Leslie and family so I have so stuff to share next Tuesday.

I’ve been to a few junkyards in the past looking for various parts, but this is the first time I’ve ever brought a couple to photograph. I have to say, salvage yards make for some pretty good portrait locations. Yeah, there are a few hazards and you might want to update your tetanus shot before we go, but if you’re anything like my friends Bill and Sam, you’d love the idea. Back in February when they booked with me, they said they wanted something different. Honestly this was a really fun e-session, I had a blast climbing on top of the cars and getting stuck. Thanks for helping me down, Bill. : ) Can’t wait until their wedding in May!

1700 photos for an engagement session may be a bit much, but when I find something I really like, it sure is hard to put it down. Wednesday was a great day for me, I got to spend a couple hours with the very cool couple, Josh & Alex! Alex got so excited after the engagements that she already started planning her bridals. I can’t wait tell their wedding in May! Wednesday was also unique for me, because my new friend Jason Crader allowed me to test out some new gear, for Josh & Alex’s engagements. After a couple minutes shooting, I was sold. I was thrilled with the images that were coming out. Honestly I wanted to shoot more, I couldn’t put it down. Josh and Alex didn’t seem to mind either so we just kept shooting! What an awesome couple, you could definitely see the sparkle in Alex’s eyes when see looks at Josh. These two are no doubt in love. Their excitement and energy was feeding mine. This is why I know that I have the best job in the world. Nothing else gets me this jazzed. Enjoy the photos!
