Monday afternoon I had the pleasure of photographing Candice and her husband Ray at one of the happiest times of their lives. They’re going to have their first child Jaycee Alice in early January. Candice and Ray had a very small intimate wedding. I had the great pleasure of photographing Candice’s bridal portraits in 2008. Candice and Ray are a super sweet couple and I have no doubt what great parents they will both make. My goal with their maternity portraits was to capture this unique time of their lives.. in a simple, natural, and intimate way. I couldn’t help but think that someday little Jaycee will be all grown up and have and opportunity to look back at these photos. That will be very cool. We met up Downtown Little Rock near the Clinton Library and this was the result. I absolutely love Fall. This season is beautiful in Arkansas. Enjoy!

I just finished wrapping up the 2009 Kiss The Brides Expo. It was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun. I had a chance to meet a bunch of new people and show off some of my work. It’s always nice to talk face to face with brides to be, and help answer questions. You can practically see the excitement on the new engaged couple’s faces, okay maybe just on her face, but I did see plenty of willing participating men as well. Planning for a wedding can be stressful. I think if you take your time and choose professionals that you’re confident about, you can let all the stress go. If you have the right people around you, you don’t have to worry about all the details of your wedding. Relax and enjoy your big day. Let everyone else do the work.

What makes this slightly more interesting is that Kris is from Arkansas. I will have to admit that I don’t watch a whole lot of TV, but I can appreciate the scale of this type of thing happening for Arkansas. After Kris made it to the top 3, he flew back to Arkansas to take a tour and see all his fans. He came to the Fox16 News studio tonight. I was there to capture some of the night’s event. This was pretty cool. It was mad crazy, not quite the same as a wedding or engagement portrait session, but fun none the less. Cameras were everywhere, people were stepping on me and I was stepping on them just trying to walk Kris down the hallway. I took over 500 photos of Kris and his fans in a little over a 2 hour time span, and I did not get to shake his hand or say hi once. It was too crazy and I was too focused. I love photography no matter what the subject. Kris does seem like a cool guy though, maybe I will see him around another time. Enjoy the pics!
