Eric + Holly - Little Rock Air Force Base Engagement Portraits

Eric and Holly are one great couple. I loved the way they interact. You can see the love and care shared between them. We met up at the Little Rock Air Force Bace, Eric is serving our country in the Air Force and has tons of knowledge of these airplanes set up around the base. He actually is in charge of taking care of the planes that are set up for display. We walked around shooting here and there, while Eric told Holly and I all about the planes and treasures around the base. I had no idea that there was a time capsule set up there from the 60's or something. Pretty cool! Here are a few of my favorites! Enjoy!

Bill + Sam - Junkyard Engagement Photography

I've been to a few junkyards in the past looking for various parts, but this is the first time I've ever brought a couple to photograph. I have to say, salvage yards make for some pretty good portrait locations. Yeah, there are a few hazards and you might want to update your tetanus shot before we go, but if you're anything like my friends Bill and Sam, you'd love the idea. Back in February when they booked with me, they said they wanted something different. Honestly this was a really fun e-session, I had a blast climbing on top of the cars and getting stuck. Thanks for helping me down, Bill. : ) Can't wait until their wedding in May!

Tuesdays with Eli - I Still Love Video

This "Tuesdays with Eli" is a little different from the blogs in the past. I wanted to give you guys just a little taste of where I have came from. I started in the wedding industry shooting wedding videos. This was a few years ago, technology has changed rapidly since. I have a confession to make, even though I am a full time wedding photographer, I still have a love for video. Can't a guy have two loves? Haha. I do believe that there is something timeless about photographs. Something that a video can't emulate, this is why I am a photographer. I just wanted to share this little "date story" with you guys. Not sure if I will do any more of these, I guess that depends if anyone is interested or not. : ) I actually shot this about 6 months ago, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it at the time, I knew I just wanted to shoot it. It went down just like my engagements sessions. Spent a couple hours together hanging out, and taking photos. The couple in this video are actually my sister and brother in law. They tied the knot in November of 2005.

Scott + Karlyn - Searcy Portrait Photographer

Last Thursday I had an opportunity to spend a few hours with Scott and Karlyn. Scott is finishing up school here in Searcy at Harding University. He's darn close to being finished and he and Karlyn are both Arizona bound. I too share their love for the West, but I'm quite happy with my home in Arkansas for now. Karlyn is an artist, check out her blog here. Karlyn and Scott actually got married in Arizona back in 08', but they wanted some photos to remember there time spent together here at school. We spent a couple hours walking around their old stomping grounds taking photos for memories sake. I'm so glad Karlyn contacted me, because I had a blast on this shoot, and we made great photos and I have some new friends! Also, this is the first blog post that I've done with a title. Leave me some love and let me know what you guys think about that. Enjoy!

Josh & Alex - Arkansas Modern Engagement Photography

1700 photos for an engagement session may be a bit much, but when I find something I really like, it sure is hard to put it down. Wednesday was a great day for me. I got to spend a couple hours with the very cool couple, Josh & Alex. Alex got excited after their engagements that she already started planning her bridals. I can't wait tell their wedding in May! Wednesday was also special for me, because my new friend Jason Crader allowed me to test out some new gear, for Josh & Alex's engagements. After a couple minutes shooting, I was sold. I was thrilled with the images that were coming out. Honestly I wanted to shoot more, I couldn't put it down. Josh and Alex didn't seem to mind either so we just kept shooting! What an awesome couple, you could definitely see the sparkle in Alex's eyes when see looks at Josh. These two are no doubt in love. Their excitement and energy was feeding mine. This is why I know that I have the best job in the world. Nothing else gets me this jazzed. Enjoy the photos!

Engagement Portraits in the Snow - Arkansas Photographer

I really do have some of the greatest clients. I'm always telling myself how thankful I am that I've been blessed with awesome clients that love my style of photography and match my easy going personality. Last Saturday I was scheduled to shoot Danielle & Jordan's engagement photos, little did we know at the time of planning, that Arkansas weather would have other plans in mind. The snow, sleet, and icy roads didn't stop us though. Jordan & Danielle may have needed just a little bit of convincing and I did have to pick them up because they couldn't get out of there driveway. But I know that once we made it out, they were very happy that we stayed with our decision to shoot on Saturday. The snowy white scenery made for a super unique setting. It was very cold, don't get me wrong, but we may not get another snow day like this here and I knew I couldn't pass up this opportunity. My back-up plan if Danielle and Jordan wanted to re-schedule, was to brave the weather anyways and shoot some portraits of Leslie & I, but when I was telling Danielle this, she reminded me that she was no stranger to cameras. You see Danielle & Jordan both have backgrounds in production and photography,
