Tuesdays with Eli - Mexican Fútbol & Hermit Crabs
I still have so many photos from my trip to Mexico that I want to share. I've decided that I'll spread them out over the course of a few "Tuesdays with Eli's". I've been on many a vacations with Jordan and his family in the past, we've been best friends for the last 12 years. Jordan has this neat web design company out of Fayetteville called Shift Creative, you should check it out. Jordan built my website and blog from the ground up. He's your man if you have any web needs. So here's a few more photos from Mexico. These kids were pretty awesome. Jordan is on the right rockin' the peace sign. They didn't speak a whole lot of English, but we learned really quickly that both hunting hermit crabs and playing soccer (fútbol), are universal languages. Enjoy!!y a trips with Jordan, we've been best friends for the last 12 years. Jordan has this neat web design company out of Fayetteville called Shift Creative, you should check it out. Tuesdays with Eli - I'm Married!!
Well, I'm a married man now! Leslie and I got back from our honeymoon early Sunday morning about 2am. I'm sure most of you guys saw my Facebook post about the weather in St. Thomas. We planned for a beautiful, sunny, warm Island wedding and honeymoon, but apparently the weather had other plans. The locals on the island said that they have not received that much rain in 30 years. We were in the middle of some kind of record or something. I'm telling you all of this not because I want everyone to feel sorry for us, haha. We did have 1 and a half days of sun, haha!Leslie and I made the best of it. We rolled with the punches and got a little wet. To me, one of the most exciting things about photographing weddings is the unpredictability. Sometimes good, sometimes bad, but one thing is for sure, no matter how much you plan... things happen. It's really just a great reminder that the wedding is not just about the plans and preparations. Weddings should be about the people and love. The time that you and your new bride or groom spend together and the experiences that you share. I can tell you for sure that our wedding was definitely an experience, haha, but it was beautiful and I wouldn't change a thing. Leslie and I so thankful to our families who could make it to the wedding and all of their help with everything. We are also super thankful for our photographers who had a bit of a challenge with all the rain. They stayed positive the whole time and worked hard to give us exactly what we were looking for. We cannot wait to see the images! Until then, here are a few from my camera. I didn't do a whole lot of shooting because I had people doing it for me, haha, but here's a couple of my favorites! Also sorry for the cheesy/depressing videos, I only made them because I thought you guys would get a kick out of them, haha. Enjoy!
Tuesdays with Eli - Mexican Sailboats
Still sharing my Mexico Photos. Here's a few more! Enjoy!
Tuesdays with Eli - Keeping up...
Man, it has been way too long since I have blogged a Tuesdays with Eli. I told you guys that every Tuesday I would be bringing you up to date with my life and my happenings, but I have failed.... Since the last post, much has happened. I went on a really incredible trip to Mexico with my best friend and his family, I have moved into a new place, (I finally have a fax machine and my own office!), I produced the 2010 Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon at the Fox16 Studios, put 3,000 miles on the new Xterra (sold my Integra), and of course I've been shooting lots of weddings, portraits, and family sessions! Leslie and I have less that 3 weeks before our wedding in St. Thomas! My life is moving really fast right now, I'm doing my absolute best to keep up. I'm not complaining though, no way! I am still blessed every day to get to do what I love and get paid for it. I can't wait to be married and settled in with my new wife! I'm extremely thankful for everyone who supports me and all of my brides for booking with me! I have so many photos that I just cant wait to show off to everyone. I need to squeeze in a little more time to blog. Here's just a few of my favorites from this past month, enjoy! Thanks for all the love!
Hot Dog Mike - Little Rock Hot Dog Cart
Before I left for my Mexico trip, I took a few promotional photos for my good friend Michael Juiliano aka Hot Dog Mike. I am very proud to be friends with Michael for several reasons. He is a fellow entrepreneur, great sense of humor, great Christian morals, and most importantly Mike cooks a mean hot dog, haha. If you haven't seen him in your area you should send him a message and let him know you want some of Little Rock's only Hot Dog Mike's famous dogs. Enjoy!
Tuesdays with Eli - I'm in Sunny Ol' Mexico!
I'm super excited to be spending a week with my best friend, Jordan and his family in Casa Palmeras, Mexico for 7 days! I'm actually on the plane right now. I set this blog up yesterday release this morning. This will be the last trip I take as a single man, better soak up the señoritas while I can, haha. Leslie knows I'm just kidding. I'll be taking lots of photos to share with you all! Stay tuned!
