Hunter + Denise - Garvan Woodland Gardens

Huge thanks to my friend and fellow photographer Jason Grader for letting me second shoot with him for this beautiful spring wedding at the Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs. The church is amazing just about anytime of the year, but the gardens really are incredible in spring, when all the tulips have bloomed. It's crazy how many different colors and arrangements they have. It was beautiful day and Hunter and Denise were a super couple. They didn't even mind when we ask them if they would hold some flower pots to get a quick photo, haha. And of course, that's my favorite. You can see all of Jason's photos from the wedding here. Enjoy!

Eric + Holly - Little Rock Air Force Base Engagement Portraits

Eric and Holly are one great couple. I loved the way they interact. You can see the love and care shared between them. We met up at the Little Rock Air Force Bace, Eric is serving our country in the Air Force and has tons of knowledge of these airplanes set up around the base. He actually is in charge of taking care of the planes that are set up for display. We walked around shooting here and there, while Eric told Holly and I all about the planes and treasures around the base. I had no idea that there was a time capsule set up there from the 60's or something. Pretty cool! Here are a few of my favorites! Enjoy!

Tuesdays with Eli - EM Photography Welcomes the iPad

Saturday Leslie and I went into Best Buy to check out the new iPads. I had ideas before looking at them of what I could use them for in the business, but I didn't intend on buying one yet. I just wanted to look. When we got there, I was sold. These things are really nice. When I picked it up all of a sudden I had tons of ideas on how I could use this for my business. I'm not going to tell everyone reading this to go out and buy an iPad, they are definitely not for everyone. If you already have an iPhone and laptop, then it's probably not necessary, but if you don't yet have a laptop, this could just omit that need. I have owned a lot of technology in young life, but I have never owned a single iPod. I skipped right over them, strait to the iPhone. So after giving my tax guy a quick call, I bought the 16GB Wifi only iPad. If you want to check one out (and your a recently engaged), give me a call, I'll bring it right over. Haha, just kidding I'll let my single friends play with it too. Seriously though, if we do have meeting scheduled, I'll be bringing my new iPad with me. :)

Just want to send a big thanks to my friend and Texas photographer Geoff Duncan, for letting me assist him on this beautiful Marlsgate Plantation wedding. Steven and Ragan were a super couple, and they picked a great photographer. You can view all of Geoff's photos from their wedding here. I was just there as a second shooter and happy to help. I'm so happy with the photos, and I'm sure Steven and Ragan will be too. They'll have these photos for the rest of there lives to cherish. This is why I love what I do! Please enjoy and be sure to leave some love!

Bill + Sam - Junkyard Engagement Photography

I've been to a few junkyards in the past looking for various parts, but this is the first time I've ever brought a couple to photograph. I have to say, salvage yards make for some pretty good portrait locations. Yeah, there are a few hazards and you might want to update your tetanus shot before we go, but if you're anything like my friends Bill and Sam, you'd love the idea. Back in February when they booked with me, they said they wanted something different. Honestly this was a really fun e-session, I had a blast climbing on top of the cars and getting stuck. Thanks for helping me down, Bill. : ) Can't wait until their wedding in May!

Tuesdays with Eli - I Still Love Video

This "Tuesdays with Eli" is a little different from the blogs in the past. I wanted to give you guys just a little taste of where I have came from. I started in the wedding industry shooting wedding videos. This was a few years ago, technology has changed rapidly since. I have a confession to make, even though I am a full time wedding photographer, I still have a love for video. Can't a guy have two loves? Haha. I do believe that there is something timeless about photographs. Something that a video can't emulate, this is why I am a photographer. I just wanted to share this little "date story" with you guys. Not sure if I will do any more of these, I guess that depends if anyone is interested or not. : ) I actually shot this about 6 months ago, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it at the time, I knew I just wanted to shoot it. It went down just like my engagements sessions. Spent a couple hours together hanging out, and taking photos. The couple in this video are actually my sister and brother in law. They tied the knot in November of 2005.
