Adam + Erin - Pleasant Valley Wedding
Adam and Erin decided to tie the knot at the Pleasant Valley Country Club in Little Rock. The ceremony was held outside on the terrace overlooking the greens. Pretty amazing location. The reception was inside the country club with full catering from Pleasant Valley and a DJ service from Ugly Ed Johnson from Alice 107.7. I was happy to have my good friend Allen from Partridge Lane second shooting with me. Here are a few of my favorite photos! Enjoy!
Bill + Samantha - Arkansas Wedding Photography
Some of you may remember Bill & Sam's engagement photos we did in a junkyard here in Little Rock. I have to say, I don't photograph a lot of couples in salvage yards, but for Bill & Sam this was exactly what they were looking for. I can't tell you how many people came up to me at their wedding and complimented me on the engagements. The people who knew them best, could see that those photos were perfect for Bill & Sam. My goal as a photographer is to blend my personal style with the unique personality of each couple that I photograph. I never want to find myself in a system of just simply producing, without my subject as the center focus. I once read a quote from some great photographer, who I can't remember his name, but I'll never forget what he said. He said "People photography... is about people". It doesn't matter how technically accurate I am or what cool new effects I can do, if my photography doesn't reflect the people that I'm photographing then the photo it loses it core. Sometimes I forget about this, and it's always nice to remind myself. Sorry for that short rant. Congrats to the newlyweds! Here are a few photos from their big day! Also I wanted to send a shout out to my boy Allen Hyslip for second shooting this super cool wedding with me!Sam & Bill first met each other at a Starbucks. That one unique brand of java brought these two people together and led to this day. Kinda a cool idea if you think about it and not a bad commercial ad for Starbucks. Before the wedding Sam and her girls decided stop by for some drinks and good times and because it was Sam's big day, her coffee was on the house.
Tuesdays with Eli - Wedding Details For My Big Day!
Les + Eli - St. Thomas Virgin Islands October 5th 2010! Okay, so I guessing some of you who read my blog is a just a little bit curious about my personal wedding plans ever since I proposed to Leslie in December. I know we've definitely had our fair share of questions about when, where, and who is gonna be the photographer. Leslie and I have given a lot of thought into our wedding. I'm sure I've probably been a little more vocal with some of the planning than other grooms, but I have seen my far share of weddings, haha. Leslie and I are so excited to be getting married! She has had her heart set on a destination wedding from day one, and that was just fine with me! I really love the idea of doing a wedding/honeymoon all in one. The only downside is not being able to share the day with much of our friends and family. We gave some serious thought about it, and have decided to have a very small, immediate family only ceremony in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. We want to keep the wedding very simple and come back after our honeymoon and throw a big party for friends and extended family. Oh and of course we're gonna bring some photos back to share. We're not sure on the details for the reception yet, stay tuned...but here is some info on our wedding in St. Thomas! The ceremony will be Tuesday October 5th at Sugar Bay Wyndham!

Josh + Alex Ceremony - Albert Pike Wedding Photography
Josh and Alex got married last weekend at the Albert Pike Hotel, downtown Little Rock. I had such a great time at their wedding. I was happy to have my good friend and fellow wedding photographer Allen Hyslip with me. Josh and Alex are such a great couple. Alex was radiating with love and excitement! I love me some happy brides! Josh had some of the coolest dudes for groomsman ever. These guys were having a blast the whole time. Here are a couple of my favorites from the first part of the day. Stay tuned for the second half of the blog tomorrow. Enjoy!
